John Marshall Jones is an American actor. He portrayed Malcolm Parker in Grand Hotel.
Jones was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan. He attended the Roeper School, a private school for gifted students, in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan. He later studied acting at Northwestern University. Upon graduating, he started an acting career.
Jones began his acting career in 1985, starring in the film Screen Test. He starred in small roles in many theatrical, short and television movies, including Good Morning, Vietnam, Casualties of War, Crazy People, White Men Can't Jump, Con Air, Sex And The Green Card (short), Fifty Pills and Mission NinetyTwo: Dragonfly.
He has also appeared in guest roles in many television series, including Family Ties, Roseanne, Melrose Place, ER, Nip/Tuck, NCIS and Dexter. In 2009, he starred in Nickelodeon’s The Troop in a main role until 2011. Since then, he has continued to guest star in television, including Pretty Little Liars, Glee, Shameless, Hart of Dixie in a recurring role from 2012 to 2015, Criminal Minds, The Fosters, 9-1-1. From 2016 to 2018, he starred in a recurring role in Bosch and another recurring role in Shooter from 2017 to 2018. Since 2015, Jones has starred as a series regular in Bounce TV’s barbershop sitcom In The Cut, and continues to star as of 2019.
Jones married actress Vanessa A. Williams in 2007. They currently live in Los Angeles, California together.
